About us

Auld Valves Ltd is a long established (1833) manufacturer of reducing, control and safety valves, with a worldwide customer base and a reputation for prompt deliveries and competitive pricing. We are an independent privately owned company based in Glasgow, where all our design, manufacture and testing is carried out.

We offer numerous advantages to both current and future customers who appreciate that bigger is not always better.

Advice on valve selection, technical back-up, and product support is always available. Our staff are technically and commercially competent and can offer cost effective solutions to valve supply problems. Specials to customers′ requirements can usually be accommodated. Complete valve packages can also be supplied. We are engineers who talk to engineers.

Spares & service

Our customers, including such worldwide names as Shell, Exxon, BNFL, Goodyear and MoD appreciate the quality of our products, which, with care, have a long working life – 25/30 years is not uncommon. Spares are usually available ex stock for commonly required maintenance items although we offer a repair and refurbishment service if preferred.

Note this service is not restricted to Auld products. We are able to refurbish valves of many different types by different manufacturers.

Full certification can be supplied as required, including material certificates, certificates of conformity, pressure and function test certificates, and PED certification. Our QA system is in accordance with ISO9001:2015 and is Lloyds approved.

Most of our standard products are available with a maximum lead time of 4/6 weeks but many are carried in stock, allowing us to offer same or next day despatch. Our pricing is very competitive due, in many cases, to the fact that we cast our valves in our own in-house foundry, giving us total control of costs from casting, through machining, to the building and testing of the valves.

Please contact us with your pressure control requirements - we are always pleased to assist.

Service now, like service used to be.
